Let me 'splain.
No...there's too much. Let me sum up.

- I have moved. Or rather, considering the sheer number of boxes littering the landscape at the new place, and how they are still moving on a daily basis, it's probably more accurate to say I have relocated. There is still so much to do around the house. But...I have a bed, the aquariums are up and running, and my cat isn't entirely traumatized. So I'm counting this as a win.

- Ask me again in a month and you might not get the same answer. There's a lot of dust that needs to settle, and more than a little bit of accounting still left to be done.

- We have no internet at home. It pains us, precious. PAINS US.

- Today I'm working the primary election. As of 9 o'clock, two hours after the polls opened, we've had 37 voters.

- Soapbox time: People who bitch about voter fraud and the need for mandatory ID checks have clearly never actually worked at a Poll. We can't get people to vote ONCE, let alone multipletimes.

- In an effort to wear myself out so as to be in bed earlier in preparation for this morning's earlier-than-usual wake up time I decided to move all of my bedroom furniture to a new location. I'm quite pleased with where my bed is now, and where one of my dressers ended up. The desk, a second hand Pottery Barn beast of a thing, would not move. But all in all the room is shaping up. Give me another hour and I should have it arranged enough where I can take some of the Indiana Jones'esque warehouse of book boxes from the living room.

- Somewhere my roommates are rejoicing.

- Going forward roomies will be referred to as Roomie A and Roomie B. This tickles me.
We've also got roomie-nicknames. Vitamin A, B Arthur, and Agent K. This also tickles me.

- By the way, moving bedroom furniture does not actually make one tired, and so I didn't get to sleep until sometime around 1 this morning. So tired. So so tired.

- I got to see the Super Moon before it on my way to Dunkin' Donuts. It was both pretty and...way too much of a reminder of how early I was up.

- Registered for a Statistics class yesterday. A Masters-Level statistics class no less. Depending on the outcome of this class I might be applying to a Masters program come spring. So...that's a thing that's happening.

- Expect to read my impotent cries of frustration here. Just...as a heads up. And if you happen to know a thing or three about Statistics, expect to be offered the dinner of your choosing...within reason, exchange for homework help.

Good luck with the stat class, man. I only just barely passed Stat for Social Science Majors back in undergrad.

Well, the points are:

a) I passed
b) I then got into a master's program
c) I came out of it with a perfectly respectable master's degree

So if you can handle this fucker I'm reasonably sure you can handle anything involved in the process.

I know absolutely zero about statistics, I fear, although one of my brothers has turned into a major statistics geek. He occasionally emails me things like this MBTA visualization with gushing about how cool visualizations of number-crunching are. So I hope that you get likewise enthralled!

Either way, I can offer no help, but plenty of sympathy for the impotent cries of frustration.

Moving is such a slog, but I'm glad you've gotten all the worst of it over! May the rest proceed swiftly. :)

Do you happen to know what textbook you'll be using in the stats class? If I know anyone who's used the same book, I can ask and see if they have any tips about working through it.
