Real Estate dealings are stressful.
Doing the math required to even begin to THINK about Real Estate dealings is soul numbing is a brand new way.

Which is all to say that this past weekend I found an adorable condo in a pretty easy-to-reach by public transportation place. It has a yard and a beautiful kitchen and is all kinds of adorable. It is also already at the top of my meager-to-non-existent price range. SO clearly I made an offer. Why? Because I like to hurt myself, apparently.
In soul numbing ways.

I'm still waiting to hear back from my realtor as to what the seller wants to do with the eight offers they got.
I'm hopeful.

Oh not about the adorable condo. that's like...there's such a slim chance of that happening. What I'm hopeful about is that now I have a better sense of how many ducks I have, and so getting them in row will still be frustrating, but at least I have a plan.
Sort of.

If you squint.

In other news, I've become a Mac person. Well...if you can really call someone who still has a heavy reliance on PCs and an Android phone a "Mac Person." Maybe Mac Poseur is a better term. In addition to my iPod, I now and the owner of a new-to-me First Gen iPad. It is adorable, and I'm trying to decide if it should be named LANOS or Penny.

There are two things about this iPad that make me frowny. The first is that first gens didn't have cameras, so...no facetime. Which would have been amazing, since ANYTHING is better than my netbook for such things. The second thing that makes me frowny is that I don't believe there's any way to upgrade the operating system, so apps like Chrome can't be installed because they require OS 6+ and I'm running OS 5.

Apple people! Is there a way to force an upgrade?
How about a downgrade of apps? Is there some sort of repository for defunct apps?

Why did you buy an outdated iPad? you might find yourself asking.
For a couple of reasons. For one: it was there...and cheap by comparison. For another, I've been on the market for a new Time Sink machine for a while, and I'm not sure whether I'd like a tablet or not. So...buy the cheap one from a trusted source, use it for a while, and if it passes the rigorous testing phase...then follow that up by buying the brandy new version that has all the bells and whistles.

I will say this: Comics look super purdy on it. Super purdy.
Shame that Comixology went and like...took away the in-app purchasing capabilities from Apple. I've got $30 in iTunes gift cards that could be put to awesome comix-related use.
