Love is free LEAF me, say hell yes

Yesterday I slept too much. Like...too much, too much. Nearly ten hours of sleep, which I think might be too much. Anyhow, I spent the bulk of the day in a fog that slowly worked its way into being generally annoyed with the world at large.
Maybe it was the too much sleep, or maybe it's the fact that the pollen count for conifers is medium to sometimes high right now, but damn was yesterday a cranky day. Not helped by my cranky day? Forgetting my ID in my office, and then locking my office door. The key to my office? On the lanyard my ID lives on. Also on the lanyard? My ID to get into my gym.
The plan had been to go to the gym every day this week for at least 45 minutes or so. That's enough time to change, do 30 minutes on the bike, and then yoga to stretch out afterwards. Now, I can't go on Thursday because I'm already leaving early, and I can't go on Friday because I'm leaving for vacation, but damn it! I can go Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
And so I did.
Or rather, I did yesterday and am planning on going again today.
While the going is still hard, the actually DOING something when I'm there hasn't been all that taxing. The most frustrating part is the fact that I can't seem to work the stationary bikes. They're the sort with the heart-rate monitors in the handlebars, and the seats make my ass go numb after a while. I've only just now looked up what my target heart-rate should be, so maybe that'll help get things progressing.
In good news though, I'm averaging 5 miles in a half hour, which I think is pretty awesome, especially seeing as my commute to work is only 3. Yes, I'm well aware that actually riding on the road is far different than being on a stationary bike, but as starting points go...that's not half bad.
Maybe if I'm feeling particularly insane I'll bike home from the Museum one night this spring after a shift.
Anyhow, slowly but surely things are progressing, I guess.
Whee.
