Happy Birthday America!
Jul. 5th, 2014 02:27 pmIt's been a drizzly afternoon here thus far today. Thanks Arthur. I mean, I know it's probably worse closer to the coast, and most certainly on the Cape and Islands, but this rain we have now is NOTHING compared to the deluge of last night. That was intense and I'm kicking myself for not having taken pictures.
My plans for the day have been postponed until tomorrow, leaving me with a day to just...do stuff. Which is good, because I have a lot of stuff to do.
Thus far I've installed a USB 3.0 pci card in my desktop. Or well, Roomie Joe did most of it. In my defense I'm sure I could have handled it myself were it not for the fact that my tower had welded the port cover things to the main portion of the cover. So it took a bit more upper body strength than I'm capable of.
As I type my new external hard drive is backing up my workstation. As soon as that's done I'll plug back in the previous back up drive and start using that as a repository for things like...movies. The hope is that the tower itself will run faster when it's not quite so chock full o' stuff. We'll see. I might need to upgrade my RAM anyways.
The biggest task set before me today is the integration of my In Need of a New Home comics. So much alphabetizing. Plus, one more go through will help me decide which of these books I want to keep, and which will likely be coming with me to Worcester for hopeful resale. Or possibly eBay. Who knows.
I should be in the attic, now that it's cooler and there's still light to be had but...whiiiiiiiiiine.
Meh.
More as it happens.
