attractivegeekery: (frustration)
This has not be the most auspicious of weeks for me. Nothing terrible or earth shattering has happened, but damn if the last few days haven't been chock'o block of micro-aggressions and annoyances.

My digestion has been acting up again. I am very much not looking forward to making the call to the dietitian because...I really don't want to have to accept the fact that there are certain things I shouldn't eat.

You're not the boss of me, gastro-intestinal system!
Except,...that you are.

I discovered on Monday that my bike had a flat, which meant that my evening errand plans would have to be put on hold until I could get the damn tire fixed. It also meant that I had to ride the bus to and from work. Man, the bus is so no where near as cool as my bike.

Cripes, when did I become that person?

I got nothing done at work on Monday, which was fine seeing as the entire office was empty. So my staring off into space was not witnessed. Hooray!

Tuesday became the day in which I would wrestle my poor limping bike down to the shop for tire replacement. It also became the day I would wrestle with the bike racks on the front of the 57 buses.

Wow are those things annoying. And only slightly more annoying? The unhelpful 57 bus drivers.
Eff you guys, I hope you step on Legos!
But not the nice guy in the sport jacket who helped me get my bike onto the rack. May flights of angels serenade him until the ends of his days.
...
Or something.

After a half hour of milling about the bike shop my wheels were returned to me, along with a cautionary warning to avoid glass, nails, and staples. Apparently there was a lot of glass, nails, and even a staple in my tire. Who knew?

One of the reasons I like having my bike around is that it makes running errands that much easier. I don't have to worry about timing things just right to catch the next bus home. It makes things like, picking up prescription cat food from a local vet that much easier. This was on my To Do list yesterday, on account of Grace nearly being out of food.

It remains on my To Do list today, because sometime in the last two months the vet clinic that fills her prescription decided to move to Jamaica Plain, a place that is no where near as easy for me to get to as say...Kenmore Square. Bah.

I just want somewhere closer to me to have the food my cat only grudgingly eats. I would go to my vet, but she's way the hell out in Winter Hill, which...even harder to get to on the best of days.

The final "Grah" of my week thus far was being woken up this morning by my cellphone ringing. It was my shrink and he was wondering where I was. I have it on my calendar that we're meeting tomorrow morning, but apparently that calendar is wrong. And the more I think on it, the more I remember making the appointment for Wednesday. So...why is my Google Calendar telling me that my appointment is on Thursday? So...either there was a keying error on my part, which I'm not ruling out, or my Google Calendar can't be trusted for crap like this.

SO now I am meeting him tomorrow, but at 8 in the morning, meaning I have to be on my bicycle at 7:45. tomorrow is going to be a very long day. A very long day that's going to end with me at a two hour Election Training session.

I swear to Glod and all that is holy, I'm going to glare daggers at the one person who asks the stupid questions at this training. Because there'll be one. DAGGERS.
