My Stories
Jan. 15th, 2013 05:36 pmThere's really no way to dance around the topic, so I'm just going to come out and say it:
I've become obsessed with the television show Parenthood.
Or...well, maybe obsessed is too strong a word, but I like it very much, and would do nothing but watch it if I hadn't already watched the first three seasons.
Why not just watch more?
Well, because seasons four and five aren't free for Amazon Prime subscribers yet, and as obsessed as I am...I'm not that obsessed.
Which means that there's an opening in my already overfull television watching schedule. An opening that needs to be filled by a television show that I will love, but that no one else in my apartment will likely love with me and so I'll be forced to catch glimpses of this show when the roomies aren't home watching something else.
Or...long into the night in my room on my Kindle.
I thought that this new show would be Samurai Jack, but apparently I didn't read the listing correctly. While Jack is available through Amazon, it's not free. Or rather it's not complimentary with Prime subscription so...eff that!
However Fullmetal Alchemist is, and so...that's what I'm going to be watching.
Lemme rephrase that so it's more accurate: That's what I'm going to try to be watching.
I say that because, well...I'm not the biggest fan of anime in general so this experiment might not be all that long.
But I'm going to give it a full level try!
It's the best I can do.
So onwards! Or something.
Nope.
Wrong again.
My search for a new Prime Eligible Guilty Pleasure continues.
Le sigh.
Maybe I'll just go back to rewatching Cheers.
