I've finally gotten around to removing myself from the "Run For Your Lives" mailing list. The unsubscribe process came with a quick poll asking why fore. In the "Other" section I left the following:

I'm still dealing with health complications contracted during your inaugural in Maryland and have no interest in participating in your events until I am at bare minimum no longer symptomatic.

PASSIVE AGGRESSION ACHIEVEMENT: UNLOCKED.

It's almost Spring Semester and I'm starting to get that ever so familiar itchy sensation that I should be back in school. And really, I probably should be. There's nothing what so ever stopping me from taking classes piece meal and finishing the Masters in Biology that I started over a year ago when I retook Anatomy and Physiology.

Well, nothing save for the fact that I have absolutely no desire to be responsible for turning out any sort of long form writing that doesn't involve either my opinions on random things, or fictional characters I don't own the copyright for.

Higher education is a touch problematic when one doesn't want to have to churn out collegiate level research papers. If only there were some way to get a masters that didn't require a thesis...

But I digress.

I've belonged to my gym for far longer than I care to mention, mostly because I don't go nearly as often as I should. While there are plans going into effect to change that, I'm seriously considering using my gym membership to take a phys ed class. Doing so would be splitting the difference of taking a new class and getting my much more considerable than I'd like butt moving.

I'm interested in three things currently:

Beginner Tai Chi
Sailing
EMT training.

Beginner Tai Chi is three times a week for three months, and starts at eight in the morning.

Sailing doesn't start until March, but it's not offered without credit...so I'd be paying the full BU price, and not the Alumi-Discounted one. That would start at 9 and go to ten.

Apparently my Alumni credentials don't allow for me to even investigate the price points involved, so I guess I'll be asking the people at the gym tonight what the heck is going on with that.

Then there's the EMT training I've been telling myself I've wanted to complete since Glod was a child. That'll be a little over a grand out of pocket, but the real draw back is that it's four hours a night on two week nights, and then sixteen hours every weekend from January to May.

That...that's a lot of time, right there. No weekend breaks at all between now and May? Too much. Just too much.

Blegh, why do awesome things have to happen early in the morning?
