I keep forgetting to write.

In spite of the heat and humidity I rode my bike into work today.
Oh, but it doesn't just end there.
I rode it on the hardest gears and in one of the shortest times.

\o/!
This is most certainly an I HAVE MADE FIRE! moments, and I'm basking in the glory.
I really do love my bike, and really should start working on getting over my anxiety of biking outside my "neighborhood," because...such a great way to get from A to B provided the weather isn't being Boston at me.

Of course now I'm sitting at my desk smelling like someone's who's just biked three miles in the summer sun...

Be thankful we don't share an office.

Huzzah!

Have you tried pootling around down by the river? There's a really nice bike path that runs along the Charles.

Hrm. Looks like your best bet may be ... okay, I found a bike path. You should be able to get up Oakland Street, and where it does the Y thing and turns into Hobart Street on the left and Falkland Street on the right, you take Hobart. It'll T-bone into Brooks Street, and Brooks Street will take you up to what's either a bridge over the Pike or a bike path under the Pike, and either way it ends in the bike bath along the river. At least, that looks like it should work. I haven't been on the streets near your apartment so I don't know if this is 'oh, what a nice set of side streets' or 'JFC they're resurfacing half the streets and the others are sacred to Asphalta, Goddess of Horribly Bloody Road Accidents and also Parking Meters'.
