Get on the floor floor I like to LEAF

That's right, cats and kittens, it's time to do this dance again.
The Something Has To Be Done tango.
This past week I have successfully re-completed Couch to 5K week One...for what, the fifth time? Regardless, it is complete! We are GO! For week Two, which I think I will start on Sunday, weather permitting of course.
I've got to say it feels kind of nice to be up and moving again. Also, what an ego boost it is for week One to have been as easy as it was.
Okay really I should say "less hard" because there's really nothing easy for me about jogging. I'm the kind runner that has to pay attention to everything. I have to remind myself to breath sometimes, and to not freak out when I do lose my breath. Then there's the whole posture thing, and oh let's not forget reminding myself to lift my feet up enough so I don't trip on the sidewalk/curbs/my own feet.
I'm morbidly curious as to where the wall will be. What week I'll get to where I'll find it hard to completely catch my breath and bring my heart rate down between jogging and walking portions of the program.
On top of Couch To 5K I've also started biking two and from work. It's a pretty easy ride, and on a good day with little traffic and no headwind I can get door to door in 20 minutes. That's at least ten minutes faster than the bus with the added benefit of being able to leave when ever I damn well want to. Plus! There's the whole being out in the sunshine thing that's oh so helpful. I had a far-lower-than-is-strictly-good Vitamin D count not too long ago, so the extra sunshine is more than a touch helpful.
I'm giving myself another week or so before I start adding stuff to my regimen, but currently in the On Deck position I have:
- Returning to the gym for actual strength training
- Recording my Week Day food intake for nutritional content
- Purchasing updated exercise/commuting clothing and shoes.
Away we go?
